A new Coronation Street video has revealed a heated moment between Carla Connor (Alison King) and DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), and we can’t help but feel that love is in the air.
Next week, Lisa faces a tough day when late wife Becky’s birthday rolls around, and she realises that she has forgotten to mark the day.
With Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) having visited her mum’s grave, Lisa heads to the pub, where Carla finds her drowning her sorrows.
The next day, Lisa wakes up hungover on Carla’s sofa, and the new video proves that she can’t remember much about the night before.
As she emerges from the shower swaddled in Carla’s dressing gown and accepts a bacon butty from Roy’s rolls, things turn sincere when she thanks the factory boss for everything she’s done.
After a tense moment of silence between them, Carla politely asks her to lock the door on the way out.
However, Lisa pleads her case to stay a while longer, pointing out that she may still be too far over the limit to drive home.
Later in the episode, Carla finally confides in Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) that she has feelings for Lisa – honestly, we could cheer – but that she’s out of her depth.
Ryan urges her to go for it, and Carla heads home, where she finds Lisa getting dressed.
