Coronation Street’s Sarah Platt given terrifying warning as she survives hitman attempt
Sarah Platt has been given a terrifying ultimatum in Corrie tonight
CORONATION Street’s Sarah Platt has become the victim of a shock murder attempt in tonight’s episode.
The businesswoman – who is played by actress Tina O’Brien in the ITV soap – was targeted in a murder attempt tonight when a hitman sent by Harvey Gaskell tried to run her down with a car.
She was saved at the last minute when Adam Barlow pushed her and daughter Bethany put of the way – putting himself in danger.
He was left unconscious after being hit by the car and rushed to hospital, while Sarah realised she still loved Adam and wanted a future with him.
Later in the hospital Adam recovered and was visited by his estranged wife.
But as Sarah was spilling her guts, telling Adam how she wanted to make another go of their marriage, Adam decided to come clean to protect her.
Having realised Harvey sent the car to kill Sarah and Bethany to punish him, he told her that she wasn’t safe.
“You’ve got to leave,” he told her.
“You have to leave town, as soon as possible. You, Harry and Bethany, you’re not safe here. I know who did this. That car was meant for you.”
Sarah was confused and told Adam: “Harvey, I don’t understand, why would he want revenge on you?
“I’m not going to run off on your say so, I need an explanation.”
Adam then decided to come clean, telling her: “He’s mad at me because I promised to get him out on appeal.
“I didn’t go through with it. I dropped the case. I was desperate. You’ve got to understand that it was killing me seeing you and Damon together.
“I wanted to scare him off. Damon is dangerous, he’s no good for you Sarah.”
But she was horrified, telling him: “No, you’re the one that’s dangerous. I have to call the police.
“I’m going to need protection. Harvey’s tried to murder us.”
“You’ve got to trust me,” Adam told her but she hit back: “Trust you, I can’t even bear to look at you.”
