Coronation Street spoilers: Too soon! Sarah Platt shaken after request from Adam Barlow

 

Reality smacks Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) in the face in Coronation Street soon as she realises Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) has lied to her – again.

When Damon returned at the start of the year, he was adamant he wanted to prove to Sarah that he had changed.

Sarah decided to give him another chance and got back with Damon, but planning their future together has been impacted thanks to his criminal brother Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).

Recently in the ITV soap, Damon called Harvey and said he wants a cut of the profits from his next job, or he’ll go to the police and tell them everything.

While Damon does another risky deal with the devil, Sarah returns from viewing a house and admits it was the stuff of dreams.

Damon promises that he’ll do what he can to raise the money and later, he receives a call from his brother, who gives him instructions for his involvement in the robbery.

The plan in place, Damon then lies to Sarah and says he won’t be able to make Harry’s birthday party tomorrow because he’s seeing a new client.

In a new week, after Harry thanks Damon for his VR headset, he apologises again for not being able to come to the party.

Later, when Sarah talks to Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) about the job he’s doing for Damon, the wool is slowly pulled from her eyes as she realises he’s been lying to her all along.

Towards the end of the week, Sarah calls at the corner shop flat and asks Adam if they can put the sale of their old flat on hold for now. Something has clearly happened with Damon, but what?

Adam assures her there’s no rush, but when he tentatively suggests it would be nice if they could be friends again, Sarah tells him it’s far too soon and hurries out.

If Damon is nowhere to be seen now, where will that leave Adam and Sarah?

Will things ever be the same again between these two?
