Corrie’s Lauren ‘to be saved’ by unlikely resident after kidnap — but it’s not Bobby
Lauren Bolton is feared dead on Coronation Street after going missing - now fans are convinced they know who will save her after a star on the soap "does some digging"
Coronation Street fans reckon they know who will end up saving Lauren Bolton.
The character, played by Cait Fitton, has not been seen in Weatherfield for months. The troubled youngster has gone missing and is presumed dead after police said she’s likely been killed while her suspected murderer walks free.
Bloodstains were discovered in her flat and prior to her going missing, Lauren was also seen with bruises covering her shoulder, potentially from her secret “boyfriend.” Her pals Bobby Crawford and Max have been left concerned over her whereabouts and continue to search for her.
But after reports of Lauren being a sex worker made their round on the cobbles, plenty of residents were soon sharing their thoughts – especially as Roy Cropper has been identified as a suspect in her disappearance.
But for Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) the news struck a chord. It was then revealed that Cassie was once a sex worker after having been forced into it by one of her ex-boyfriends.
Now, fans are certain that Cassie will uncover what has exactly happened to Lauren and will save her. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person said: “I think Cassie will do some digging about Lauren, find her alive and save her.”
Someone else replied: “I was going to say same thing.” A third chimed in and wrote: “I imagine it was a very long time ago that Cassie was in that situation.
“But she wouldn’t be shy to go places and ask questions. That would be good if she does as it’s definitely hit home with her about her past.”
It comes after the Lauren actor appeared to tease her character’s fate. In Cait Fitton’s Instagram bio, she now states: “Previously Lauren in @CoronationStreet”, hinting that her character has been killed off – or at least exited – for good.
Sleuths over on Reddit have been fuelling the flames, with one writing: “Went to the actress who plays Lauren’s IG and it looks like she’s a goner.” Somebody else said: “It would be interesting if she were actually murdered – we get to see what its like for the people left behind when someone is kidnapped and killed – how everything is normal one minute, but then it turns out that it’s actually the last time you ever see them. But you don’t know why, they’re just gone all of a sudden.
