Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo), the grandaughter of Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows), has left Coronation Street.
The young girl departed Weatherfield this week after announcing that she’d like to live with her father Dom in Germany.
The news upset Stu a great deal, who previously spent time bribing Dom so he didn’t lose Eliza.
However, when Dom returned the money, he revealed building a relationship with his daughter was more important to him than the cash.
During Wednesday’s (April 17) episode of the ITV soap, Eliza said goodbye to her friends Hope (Isabella Flanagan) and Sam (Jude Riordan) and prepared for her new life abroad.
After deciding he would fly to Germany to help Eliza settle in, Stu told partner Yasmeen (Shelley King) they could have a fresh start once he returns home.
Yasmeen reassured Stu and said he’d be welcome at Number 6 when he gets back. With that, Eliza said a final farewell to her friends, ready to exit the cobbles.
Eliza entered Stu’s life in 2022.
Shortly after Stu’s daughter – Eliza’s mum – confirmed she was the person responsible for killing Charlie Walter, she was sent to prison alongside Lucy, Stu’s ex-wife.
Due to the fact Eliza didn’t have anyone to look after her, she was put into care.
This development prompted Stu to passionately fight for custody of Eliza and, after a few difficult weeks, he welcomed his granddaughter to Number 6.
Most recently, Eliza ended up in hospital after being hit by a car, which we now know was being driven by Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan).
