Coronation Street teases shock affair for Nick Tilsley and it will leave Leanne Battersby devastated
Nick and Leanne both have form when it comes to infidelity
CORONATION Street has teased a shock affair for Nick Tilsley – and it will leave Leanne Battersby devastated.
The couple may have become engaged in February when Leanne got down on one knee to Nick, but that doesn’t mean things are a bed of roses between them.
In fact, Nick looked far from thrilled at the prospect of marrying Leanne for a third time, and admitted to his brother David Platt he had reservations about it.
Since then, the pair have been busy running the Bistro, but Leanne has started to get sucked into the teachings of The Institute, which is lead by a man called Rowan.
Leanne has started to pay him money in exchange for his self-help guidance and her ‘reality coding’ sessions have left Nick and Leanne’s sister Toyah concerned.
On top of that, this week saw Nick come to Toyah’s rescue after she lashed out at Internet sleuths who were attempting to dig up a patch on the Red Rec.
A distressed Toyah grabbed a spade and smashed one of their car windows before Nick intercepted and lead her away.
He then tried to get Toyah to open up but she brushed off his concerns.
However, a worried Nick later told a dismissive Leanne that something was definitely wrong with Toyah, and they needed to keep a close eye on her.
Now, spoilers have teased Nick could become even closer to Toyah in upcoming scenes.
Leanne tells Nick that thanks to Rowan, she’s had a great idea for the Bistro and they should do pop-up stalls to broaden their market.
At the mention of Rowan, Nick bristles.
Nick reveals Leanne’s plans to expand the business and asks Toyah if she’d manage the Bistro in the meantime, but Nick’s left disappointed when Toyah turns him down.
If the pair did end up having an affair, it wouldn’t be the first time infidelity has been part of Nick and Leanne’s relationship.
Back in 2017, Nick cheated on Leanne with Michelle Connor, while the couple had an affair themselves when Leanne was in a relationship with Peter Barlow.
Then when Leanne and Nick were set to marry a second time, Leanne had a change of heart and tried to reunite with Peter, before turning up to marry Nick anyway, which he soon found out.
And Coronation Street fans will know it wouldn’t be the first time Toyah had got together with one of her sister’s partners, after she returned to the Cobbles in 2016 following an affair with Peter Barlow, Leanne’s ex-husband.
The couple embarked on a relationship but split up in 2017.
