TRACY Barlow has been canoodling with Tommy Orpington after the former football player rocked up the cobbles on Christmas.
Next week in Coronation Street, Tracy’s daughter Amy makes a shock discovery in the flower shop – what will be her reaction?
After meeting Tommy Orpington (portrayed by Matt Milburn) in her flower shop during the Christmas season, Tracy hired the ex-star of the Weatherfield County FC as a decorator to do some work in No.1.
However, the florist played by Kate Ford soon took their professional relationship to a more personal level as she was unable to resist his charms.
Coming up on ITV, cracks continue to appear in her marriage to Steve (Simon Gregson) as a result and her secret may be rumbled by her daughter Amy (Elle Mulvaney).
It all begins while Amy admires the Valentine’s card that Steve gave Tracy, as the couple are due to celebrate their union.
Sadly, Steve then quickly admits that Tracy didn’t even buy him his own card.
Meanwhile, at the flower shop Tommy spells out to Tracy that their illicit romance isn’t meant to continue and they’re finished.
Tracy makes out she couldn’t care less about the short-lived affair.
But how will she react when faced with Amy’s sudden appearance in Preston’s Petals?
Amy demands to know what’s going on, but what will be Tracy’s response?
While this remains to be seen, Tracy later seductively invites Tommy to join her in the back of the shop.
Will he be able to resist?
Times have been tough for Tracy Barlow’s marriage with Steve McDonald.
During a conversation with his pal Tim Metcalfe last year, the owner of Street Cars revealed that he and his wife had been encountering some issues.
Steve explained that Amy’s rape trauma have had a huge impact on their married life as they feared bankruptcy due to the legal repercussions of their daughter’s attack, perpetrated by Aaron Sandford.
Both Steve and Tracy have always had an on-off somewhat toxic relationship and they are no strangers to infidelity.
The pair first tied the knot in 2012 only for their big day to be ruined by a bombshell from Becky Granger, Steve’s ex-wife.
Six years later, Steve and Tracy finally made it back down the aisle but the reception descended into chaos when the florist found out her other half had slept with Leanne Battersby behind her back.
In January, 2020, Tracy then woke up from her New Year’s Eve festivities next to Weatherfield solicitor Paula Martin, realising she had also cheated on Steve.
The couple have somehow always managed to patch things up.
But could Tracy and Tommy’s affair be too much for Steve, who has been a fan of the former football player, to forgive?
