Coronation Street spoilers: Violent showdown on Paul Foreman’s special day as Billy Mayhew punches his husband’s friend
Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) is determined to make Valentine’s Day special for husband Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) in Coronation Street, but things go drastically wrong when Billy ends up punching Paul’s mate.
A few weeks ago, Billy agreed to help Paul end his life when the time comes. This has left Billy more determined than ever to embrace every single day he has left with his husband, knowing he might be having an upsetting conversation with Paul very soon.
Coming up, despite his ongoing back pain, Billy tells Summer (Harriet Bibby) that he wants Paul to enjoy Valentine’s Day with a motorbike and sidecar ride.
Wincing in pain, Billy rides pillion before knocking back the painkillers and heading to the bistro.
Sadly, the mood is quickly ruined when an old schoolmate of Paul’s and his fellow stags arrive and start behaving raucously.
Billy carries on the afternoon and surprises Paul with a Barbershop Quartet. He’s delighted but when Benno heads over and tries to force Paul to dance, Billy sees read and punches the drunk stag in the face.
But will Billy apologise for his actions?
Following the discussion around Paul’s assisted dying, Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) and Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) soon discovered his plan.
During a night stuck in the middle of a field in an old campervan, Paul opened up to Gemma and Bernie and desperately wanted their support.
Bernie and Gemma then headed outside for some air. As they looked up to the stars, the mother and daughter concluded that they must support Paul’s decision and be there for him till the very end.
Paul, who was inside the campervan, overheard the emotion chat and was left in tears.
