Corrie Glenda’s pregnancy ‘rumbled’ after bonk with Michael – but fans spot ‘blunder’
Coronation Street fans are convinced Glenda Shuttleworth is set for a surprise pregnancy.
The character, played by Jodie Prenger, first rocked up to Weatherfield in 2022 as the daughter of soap icon Archie Shuttleworth. And it didn’t take long for her to become a favourite with fans.
What’s more, in recent months, the beloved barmaid has played a part in several big storylines. From a break-in at the Rovers to a family fall-out over the Shuttleworth empire, things have been kicking off for Glenda.
Over in the soap recently though, she and Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) ended up bonking. In recent weeks, viewers have seen the attraction grow between Michael and Glenda, who is suing brother George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) over their father’s will.
And last week, Michael went in for a kiss – to which Glenda kissed him back. And during Monday’s episode (June 10) the pair were seen sneaking out of the bedroom after a night of passion.
And the pair were back at it again later on in the episode. Now fans reckon it’s only a matter of time until Glenda ends up pregnant.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Surely we aren’t going to see Glenda up the duff are we?”
Someone else replied: “Whoa! I saw Glenda and Michael getting together, but I didn’t think of that! Excellent idea! How about it @itvcorrie @ITV Glenda getting a last minute chance at motherhood and love.”
A third wrote: “That’s a brilliant idea.” Another viewer mused: “Yes, hope she goes back on the Cruise circuit and takes Michael to look after their children.”
However, other fans pointed out a ‘blunder’ about Glenda and Michael’s bonk. Viewers were confused as to where Michael’s daughter, Glory, was when he was at it with Glenda.
On a Reddit thread, one person said: “Happy for Glenda and Michael but who was looking after Gloria while he was secretly sleeping with her lol.” Someone else replied: “And then reading outside in peace before heading off for round two??”
While on X, a third mused: “so michael has a child yet can just go off with glenda . She must be with Harry, who sarah never sees either. Always in the pub, cafe or bistro.”
A fourth replied: “Yes I wonder who is taking care of little ones in Corrie when they all end up in the pub very odd.”
