Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd engaged and Michelle Keegan has best response

Corrie star Jack P Shepherd has announced the happy news he’s engaged to long-term love Hanni Treweek.

His fiancé Hanni took to her Instagram page on Sunday, June 23, to share the exciting announcement, writing: “05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!!” The happy pair looked very much in love as they posed for photos with them eagerly planting a kiss on each other’s lips and looking adorable as they matched their outfits with beige coloured shirts.

Michelle Keegan was one of the first to reply and her supportive response was epic, with the Our Girl star gushing: “Awww congratulations to you both!” Fans have also congratulated the couple on their engagement with one person writing: “That’s wonderful, congratulations!!!!!!”

It seems that Jack and Hanni have been enjoying a much-needed break away from the UK after spending almost a month exploring Africa. Hanni has been keeping fans updated on the trip by sharing a plethora of stunning photos from their sunny vacation, while Jack has also taken to his page to post pictures of their beautiful scenery.

The actor popped the question to Hanni while they spent the evening on a safari trip in Zanzibar – and it seems Hanni couldn’t hide her smile during the happy moment.

Back in 2018, Jack went public with his romance with Hanni and told OK! Magazine that his girlfriend is his ‘soulmate’.

During a TV appearance, Jack went on to discuss his relationship with her and their future, including the possibility of marriage and kids, and said: “I think it is only sensible really to have those sorts of conversations with a partner or someone that you’re dating even if you’re going out for like a few months, as soon as you know it’s serious.”

Meanwhile, a loved-up Hanni, who was also on the show, discussed their first meeting, adding: “I think we fell quite quickly and from that we just clicked, and we were on the same page, and you do have those conversations but yeah I think we would like to… in the future.”

The pair have been living together for over two years and share regular updates about their life online, showing followers snaps and clips inside their home, of their three dogs and a look at their trips and date nights.

Previously, the Corrie star hinted that he planned to one day tie the knot with Hanni, but implied he had been in no rush to walk down the aisle. Jack told OK!: “We will get married but we’re not engaged yet. We want to do all those big milestones like marry, have kids, and buy a house, we’re just not quite there yet. I didn’t want to scare Hanni off but we did have the discussion about marriage and children early on as you need to know you want the same things.”

Before finding love with Hanni, Jack was in a long-term relationship with a woman named Lauren Shippey, who he had been with since 2002. The pair share two children, a daughter named Nyla and a son called Reuben.
