Elsewhere, Leanne Battersby makes a chilling Rowan Cunliffe discovery. Here’s the biggest storylines ahead of next week’s Coronation Street…
Kit Green rumbled by DS Lisa Swain as his past catches up with him
Kit Green will find himself exposed on next week’s Coronation Street. Soap fans will recall that Kit made an appearance earlier this year as Bernie Winter’s long-lost son. However, Bernie soon learnt the hard way that she had been set up by her long-lost son, weeks on from them reuniting after decades apart. Kit couldn’t forgive his biological mum for abandoning him and not making contact when he was younger with him attempting to turn her other two children, Gemma Winter and Paul Foreman, against her.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, police officer Kit planted a then missing Lauren Bolton’s DNA to frame Nathan Curtis, who was arrested, with real culprit Joel Deering then still at large. While in recent scenes, Kit got into secret cahoots with criminal Sid and his dodgy counterfeit T-shirt business, warning he wont say a word as long as he gets half the cut of profits.
However, Beth Tinker, whose son Craig works with Kit in the police, recently caught out Kit, spotting him working with Sid who was selling counterfeit T-shirts that Beth had designed. Beth accused Kit of being a bent copper, claiming to have rumbled he wasn’t the good guy he’d claimed to be. With Kit’s career possibly at risk, he blackmailed Beth, threatening her to leave the cobbles for good.
In spoilers next week, it appears someone else rumbles Kit as it teases that DS Lisa Swain quizzes Kit about the evidence planted on Nathan. How will Kit react and does DS Swain have any more information?
Carla Connor ‘exposes’ Joel Deering as downfall looms
Joel Deering will find himself exposed next week on Coronation Street as his downfall looms. It finally came out that Joel was the one who attacked and nearly killed Lauren Bolton. When Lauren wanted to end things he attacked her, with Lauren going into hiding.

Just weeks ago Lauren’s fate was confirmed and fans discovered she was pregnant with Joel’s baby. Lauren recently went into premature labour after being drugged by sick Joel, with her baby son now in hospital. Amid DS Swain trying to bring Joel down, upcoming scenes will see him released due to a lack of evidence. It seems as he threatens Lauren once more, Joel’s ex Dee-Dee Bailey will be desperate to expose him, leading to a possible discovery.
However, Dee-Dee isn’t the only one planning on exposing Joel as spoilers next week see Carla Connor confront the evil solicitor. In upcoming scenes, Carla meets up with a potential supplier at the Chariot Square Hotel. However, it’s not long until she spots Joel’s arrival and as soon as her meeting is over, she heads to the evil solicitor’s table, where she announces to the room that he’s the woman-beater who tried to murder Lauren. How will Joel react and is Carla in danger?
Leanne makes chilling Rowan discovery as Amy ‘in danger’
Coronation Street is set for dramatic scenes next week when Leanne Battersby makes a chilling Rowan Cunliffe discovery. Soap watchers will recall that mysterious newcomer Rowan has targeted Leanne with his “self-improvement group” The Institute. Rowan has also been pulling Leanne away from partner Nick Tilsley and even her sister Toyah Battersby during her time of need.
Rowan has been encouraging Leanne to open up about her past and the trauma she has faced, using his tools and guiding her to speak aloud about parts of her life. In a shock twist, Rowan was revealed to be recording everything Leanne was saying without her knowledge. Of course, viewers will recall that Toyah has been concerned for Leanne and extremely sceptical of Rowan.
After learning of Toyah and Nick’s affair, Rowan has been blackmailing the duo while he has also targeted Amy Barlow on the cobbles as a new recruit for The Institute. Soap watchers know he’s just after money and it’s all a scam. He’s been targeting vulnerable people to invest including Leanne, and Amy is just his latest target.
After some sessions she seemed keen to join Rowan and the others, and wanted to put her £40,000 inheritance money towards the organisation. However, her grandfather Ken Barlow wouldn’t release the funds though, as they were left for her by her late grandmother Deirdre. However, after being persuaded by Leanne, Ken decided it was legit, agreeing to release Amy’s funds.
Yet in scenes this week, a blindfolded Amy is horrified as the members bombard her with insults. Leanne assures her it’ll be worth it in the end but Amy becomes too distressed and runs out. This results in Tracy and Nick confronting Rowan at the Chariot Square Hotel, determined to unmask him.
In spoilers for next week, Leanne offers Amy her job back at the Bistro, urging her to drop her plans to sue The Institute but will Amy agree? Later, in the salon, Amy receives a voice message from a mystery unknown number as she listens in horror and dashes out. What’s the message?
Meanwhile, at the same time, Leanne meets up with Rowan and while he’s called to reception, she looks through his laptop and comes across a file named ‘Leanne’ and one named ‘Nick and Toyah’. What has Leanne stumbled across and what will she discover on these files? It’s not long until Leanne summons Nick to the Bistro, what does she know and what does this mean for them?
