Corrie DS Lisa Swain’s new cobbles lover ‘revealed’- but it’s not Carla Connor

Corrie fans are convinced DS Lisa Swain is about so strike up a romance with a cobbles resident – and it’s not Carla Connor.

DS Lisa Swain, played by Vicky Myers, made her first appearance on the soap in 2021 and has since been embroiled in several major plotlines. Most recently, she was at the heart of the missing Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) case.

Fans will remember the troubled teen disappeared earlier this year, only to reappear on the cobbles in July. It was then unveiled that creepy lawyer Joel Deering (Calum Lill) was responsible for her vanishing act.

Joel had manipulated and mistreated Lauren, and when she came back to Weatherfield pregnant with his child, he tried to murder her and their unborn baby.

Luckily, his vile scheme didn’t succeed as both she and the baby, Frankie, pulled through. The truth eventually surfaced – but Joel has so far evaded punishment for his crimes, much to the dismay of Lauren, Lisa and his fiancee Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown), reports the Liverpool Echo.

However, while Lisa is still trying to bring Joel to justice, fans have been speculating for some time that she and Carla Connor (Alison King) are on the verge of starting a romantic relationship. The duo have shared numerous scenes, with viewers picking up on their chemistry.
