Baby tragedy in Coronation Street as new mum Lauren gets horrifying news at the hospital

Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) has barely left her newborn son’s bedside since he was born prematurely in Coronation Street last month – but next week she receives horrifying news about his health.

As fans know, Lauren was forced into early labour by evil Joel Deering (Calum Lill) – the baby’s father – drugging her as he plotted to get rid of her.

Since Frankie’s birth, Lauren has been on a mission with DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) and Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) to bring down her abuser, who has groomed many other teenage girls too.

They make a breakthrough next week, when Lauren has a visitor who may be able to help stop Joel once and for all.

As she and Max Turner (Paddy Beaver) have breakfast at the café, she receives a call from the hospital telling her to come as quickly as possible.

After Lauren rushes to be there, the doctor explains that Frankie suffered a seizure and they’ve taken him for a scan.

Will he pull through?

Lauren’s nightmare doesn’t end there though, as she’s later called to a meeting with the social worker.

Accompanied by Dee-Dee, they explain she will have to be monitored as she’s still under investigation for trying to abort her baby.

It comes after Lisa and Dee-Dee spot the bistro van has a dashcam and go through the footage hoping to trace the company that sent the package to Joel containing the abortion-inducing drugs.

After uncovering that the parcel was from a private health clinic, Lisa calls them to provide details of the sender.

Will they be able to provide evidence that will clear Lauren’s name?
