Coronation Street ‘rumble’ dark truth behind missing Lauren Bolton as Bobby Crawford’s secret ‘exposed’
One fan suspected it could seal a permanent exit for one character
VIEWERS of Coronation Street have rumbled a dark truth behind Lauren Bolton’s disappearance which has exposed her close pal Bobby.
Fans of the ITV soap opera have watched on in mystery after Cait Fitton’s character disappeared from her flat in unusual circumstances.
The troubled OnlyFans creator has sparked a local police search after blood was found splattered all across her flat following her disappearance.
Lauren has had a rocky time in Weatherfield that has seen her be part of a right-wing extremist group, attempt to sleep with boss Roy Cropper, be accused of theft on a number of occasions, film adult content and enjoy a mystery romance with an unidentified man.
Since she went missing, Bobby Crawford has led an intense campaign to find her and even camped outside her flat in the park in order to watch the hive of police activity.
Police have been left fearful that she could have been abducted and murdered and are attempting to whittle down the possible suspects.
However, having known Lauren for less than two months, fans have grown suspicious as to the reasoning behind Bobby’s deep concern for her and how desperate he is to track her down.
It has sparked some theory that Bobby could have a deep and dark secret and that he may have something to do with her going missing.
Superfans have been sharing their theories on what happened to the missing teen online with many of them convinced there is more to Bobby’s involvement than meets the eye.
One fan pondered: “What are we thinking has happened to Lauren? At first I thought that she had just moved to another town and not told anyone […] but now that bloodstains under the UV light have been found I’m really not sure.”
Another added: “Hopefully it’s Bobby, because he’s putting on such a performance blaming other people to throw the police off his trail, even going so far as to blame Roy who I am sure we all know is perfectly innocent.”
Someone else admitted they “loved” the idea of Bobby being involved as they speculated it would lead to an exit storyline for the newcomer.
They said: “Love that idea. Then we can get rid of him via a one episode court trial followed by a 50 year stretch.”
A fourth insisted: “It was Bobby. His creepy and obsessive behaviour went too far and then wham, Lauren’s gone.”
Before a fifth wrote: “Creepy Bobby has known Lauren for all of five minutes.
“I put it to you, officer, that he’s tried to get his mucky paws on her, she’s gone, ‘Hell no’ and he’s whacked her. He seems to know a hell of a lot and is trying to frame Roy.”
