Coronation Street viewers are convinced that an illicit affair is brewing between Toyah Battersby and Nick Tilsley.
Fans of the ITV soap have been piecing together clues, suggesting a potential fling between the two longstanding characters. In recent episodes, Toyah was seen sharing her troubles with Nick after she lost her temper at a group of people in the park.
And the secret Toyah has been harbouring for years is set to be revealed this week, with Nick being her confidant. Monday’s installment (April 22) showed tension between Toyah and her sister Leanne over new character Rowan Cunliffe.
As Leanne vented her frustration about her sister, Nick sensed something was amiss when Toyah vandalised a car. She was subsequently questioned by the police, indicating that something was indeed definitely off.
Nick tried to understand what was happening while Leanne was preoccupied. And as he and Toyah grew closer, fans began speculating about a possible affair between them, reports the Mirror.
With Leanne likely to drift away from Nick as she seeks counsel from the charismatic Rowan amidst a cult storyline unfolding on the show, could Nick find solace in Toyah? Viewers believe this will be the case, particularly as spoilers reveal that Toyah will open up to him about a past incident.
