Coronation Street favourite has identical twin – and they’ve appeared on the cobbles before
Corrie fans were left totally stunned after discovering that a fan-favourite actor is actually a twin
Liam McCheyne, who plays Dylan Wilson, the offspring of the iconic Sean Tully portrayed by Antony Cotton, had fans doing double takes. Corrie viewers have watched Dylan pop in and out of Weatherfield since 2011, but it’s his life outside of the show that’s causing a stir.
The lad recently came back to the Street for good in 2022, hitting our screens with some hard-hitting plots, including an intense bullying storyline involving fellow character Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) targeting Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall).
But off-screen, it’s Liam’s personal trivia that’s sent Corrie’s Facebook groups into a frenzy with his bombshell twin revelation. One gobsmacked fan posted: “I had no idea Liam was a twin.”
Cue a flurry of “Wait what?! ” and “Never knew they were twins!” revelations flooding the comments section, reports the Express.
Back when Dylan strolled onto the cobbles in 2011, Liam shared the role with his identical bro, Connor. While Liam continued to tread the boards of TV drama, Connor switched up the acting for batting and bowling, pursuing cricket aspirations.
Chatting about his twin, Liam had previously gushed: “Connor found that love, and it is a love, so I’m really glad he found something he wants to do. We’re as close as anything. We’ve got our differences, but there’s definitely similarities.”
The twins celebrated their 17th birthday in January, and Liam didn’t miss the chance to post a touching message for his bro on social media.
His tribute read: “17 years of sharing a birthday with @connormccheyne never a day where we’re not laughing.
“Both have different ideas and pathways, but we have the same person to always trust. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Another chapter is going to be written. Chapter 17! Here’s to another amazing year.”
