Coronation Street flashbacks will reveal show-changing bombshell as Joel’s killer exposed
Coronation Street spoilers have confirmed viewers will discover a show-changing twist next week on the ITV soap, as the truth about Joel Deering's murder comes to light
Coronation Street has teased big scenes next week on the ITV soap, with a twist that will likely change the show forever.
A bombshell will feature in some flashback scenes, leading to a huge change in the weeks that follow. Viewers finally find out who killed Joel Deering next week, as the killer storyline takes a new turn.
But whether detective Kit Green learns the real culprit remains to be seen. A flashback sequence will reveal the true events of that day, and Joel’s final moments.
He will finally find out what happened to him and how he died, and who dealt the fatal blow that killed him. The killer will be identified in the flashback in a major bombshell that will change everything.
But who killed Joel, and will they be leaving the show for good? Will it kick off the next big storyline as they cover up their crime? Surely life will never be the same for the guilty person, regardless of if they are caught or not.
If they are exposed they will no doubt have to leave the show. If their guilt is only exposed to viewers or minimal characters, perhaps we will see them acting differently going forward, but in a show change they will now be a killer.

Spoilers for the big flashback episode reveal there’s multiple flashes back to the night of Joel’s murder. Around these scenes we will also see Kit interviewing his suspects.
As all the pieces of the puzzle are brought together, viewers finally get the view from the bridge and discover who delivered the final blow that really killed Joel. It seems Joel was attacked and killed, before he fell into the river where his body was later found.
We will likely see the person who killed him identity themselves, while it’s not known if the episode will end there or if there will be more to see. So whose life is about to change forever, and who will be exposed as a murderer?
Viewers will have to tune in next week to find out, with the flashbacks and the show-changing news airing on Friday November 15. Suspects teased by the show include Carla Connor, DS Lisa Swain, Mason Radcliffe, Kit himself and Dee-Dee, Ed and Ronnie Bailey.
Other characters who have been questioned about that night include David Platt, Lauren Bolton and Joel’s father Gus Deering. Whether the killer is a known suspect or someone else remains to be told.
