Coronation Street Institute ‘exposed’ as Toyah makes shock discovery about leader Rowan
Coronation Street's Toyah Battersby is set to finally expose cult leader Rowan as she makes a huge discovery in upcoming scenes - but could she be putting herself in danger?
Toyah Battersby is set to make a significant breakthrough in her mission to expose cult leader Rowan in the upcoming episodes of Coronation Street.
The ITV soap’s viewers are aware that Toyah has been striving to reveal the truth about Rowan and his ‘self-improvement’ institute, which has consumed her sister Leanne Battersby. Despite Toyah’s attempts to voice her concerns about The Institute, Leanne seems to be completely under its influence.
Unbeknownst to Leanne, she has been sharing her deepest secrets with Rowan, who then uses this information against her. Meanwhile, Toyah has been dealing with her own struggles.
After confiding in Nick Tilsley about the loss of her stillborn daughter Rose, the pair found themselves growing closer and ended up sleeping together.
Rowan witnessed their intimate moment and used it to blackmail Toyah into signing a non-disclosure agreement to keep quiet about the institute. However, this hasn’t stopped Toyah from investigating The Institute further, reports the Express.
In the forthcoming scenes, as Leanne pressures Amy Barlow to join the cult, Nick accompanies Toyah to her latest hospital appointment.
