Coronation Street’s Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) has become engrossed in a vicious battle with her boss Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) – but who’s in the wrong?
The legal eagles have been well and truly divided following a development in tonight’s (15th April) episode.
As Adam headed off to the Chariot Square Hotel, Alya insisted that he be back in time to meet with Rich Pemberton (Jamie Cho), another key client who has his own firm, Fabiens.
We can feel trouble brewing…
At the hotel, he was instantly wooed by a flirtatious new client, Rebecca (Gemma Merna), and before long Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) was suggesting they look at the wine menu.
Alya, back at the solicitors practice, got in touch to say Rich was due and he should head back – but was put out to hear a cork popping out of a bottle.
When Rich arrived, he assumed that she was Adam’s business partner and not wanting to correct him, she conducted the meeting instead.
Uh-oh!
Meanwhile, things with Rebecca were heating up and believing he had the office free for the rest of the day, Adam invited her back and the two burst into the meeting, locking lips.
Thoroughly embarrassed, Alya asserted how unprofessional his behaviour was and began to tear strips off him.
As a huge row erupted between them, he decided her time at the legal practice was over and he stormed out.
However, there could be a new opportunity on the horizon as Rich saw potential in her initiative.
After a tense confrontation with co-partner Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown), Adam was talked into apologising and he headed to No. 6 to make amends – but it was too late.
Slamming the door in his face, Alya said she would be seeking legal advice following her unfair dismissal.
Should Adam be worried?
