Abi Webster (Sally Carman) returns to Coronation Street next week after some much needed respite away from the cobbles.
Prior to her departure, Abi experienced a traumatic ordeal when she came face to face with Stefan, the father of Corey Brent, who killed her son Seb.
Abi and Stefan’s paths crossed again after she worked out he was behind a variety of deepfake pornographic videos of her.
Abi reported him to DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), who informed her there was little the police could do. Still convinced he was behind the online attacks, Kevin (Michael Le Vell) used Bethany’s (Lucy Fallon) work pass to gain access to Stefan’s office and stole his phone.
Clearly startled that the truth may come to light, Stefan agreed to pay to take down the videos, but after learning it would cost £60k annually, he backed out.
Abi couldn’t believe that Kevin went behind her back, and at the end of June, Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) urged him to apologise – but it was too late.
Feeling overwhelmed, she decided she needed a break and told Kevin she was planning to stay with the twins and their adoptive mother, Lynsey in Essex.
Coming up, Abi returns from Essex. When she gets home, she makes it clear to Kevin that she wants to forget all about Stefan…which becomes a case of famous last words.
In the week, Debbie (Sue Devaney) comes to the rescue after she spots Jack (Kyran Bowes) being bullied about Abi’s videos. She explains that they are not really Abi, and Jack makes Debbie promise not to tell Kev and Abi that he knows.
Later, at her hotel, Debbie gets a shock when Stefan arrives, but what does he want?
And how will it impact Abi and Kevin this time?
