Coronation Street reveal ‘giveaway clue’ that yet another evil character is returning to the soap
Two other Corrie baddies have been confirmed to return in recent weeks
CORONATION Street appear to have let slip a ‘giveaway clue’ that yet another evil baddie could be making their way back to the Cobbles.
The ITV soap has been reintroducing plenty of past evil faces to the programme in recent weeks and it seems another could be on the way.
Coronation Street appears to have let slip that we are still yet to see more of bad boy bully Mason Radcliffe, played by Luca Toolan.
The slimy teen bullied Liam Connor to hell and back and left him contemplating suicide.
His cocky attitude and bothersome personality left viewers loathing him in their droves.
Mason was jailed on the soap earlier this year for threatening Liam with a zombie knife during his evil reign of terror.
It saw the character placed behind bars and seemingly off the show for good, much to the delight of many fans.
However, it seems as though Mason may be back on the cobbles sooner than we think after actor Luca was seen still hanging around on the soap’s set.
Luca has been preparing to run the Great Manchester Run alongside his co-stars and was featured in a promotional image shared by the soap’s official account.
He could be seen on-set outside the Rovers alongside Elle Mulvaney, Channique Sterling-Brown, Colson Smith and Callum Lill.
Luca donned a plain white T-shirt and shorts in the snap as Coronation Street wrote: “Keep an eye out for cast members who are racing this year’s Great Manchester Run!
“Competition is fierce so go and cheer them on!
“No cobbles were hurt in the making of this photo… we’re not sure about any ankles.”
Mason arrived as a snarling schoolboy who quickly corrupted Dylan Wilson into the cruel bullying of Liam.
They left him in fear and suffering panic attacks to this day but Mason continually denied any involvement even when it got to court.
If Mason is to return, he will be the third baddie that Corrie has brought back this year following Nathan Curtis and Corey Brent.
The Sun previously revealed how murderer Corey Brent – who is played by actor Maximus Evans in the ITV soap – will be at the centre of a major new storyline three years after he pleaded guilty to murdering Seb Franklin but with a twist.
The harrowing storyline, which was based on the real-life Sophie Lancaster murder, saw Seb and his girlfriend Nina Lucas brutally attacked for being goths in May 2021.
Corey was eventually jailed after confessing to the murder, having been caught trying to flee the country.
He was warned he faced life in prison – but just three years later the spectre of Corey will be felt in a dramatic storyline for Seb’s mum Abi.
