Coronation Street reveals emotional new Paul Foreman scenes as he receives important news
He learns his MND is progressing.
Paul Foreman will receive life-changing news in new Coronation Street scenes.
The ITV1 soap is lining up emotional scenes for Paul as Summer Spellman gets ready to leave Weatherfield to study abroad for a while. Billy announces he will be preparing a huge roast dinner as a way to send Summer off in style.
At the same time, Paul is noticing he’s having trouble eating so his mum Bernie Winter accompanies him to an appointment with his speech therapist.
During this appointment, the therapist explains to Paul that his speech and ability to eat solid foods are now being impacted by the progression of his Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Paul has to consider a huge life adjustment when his therapist suggests it may be time for him to use a feeding tube.
Back at home, Paul assures Billy and Bernie that he will be fine as long as they can liquidate his food for him in the future.
It’s later time for Summer’s goodbye dinner, with the family sitting down for a huge feast that Billy has prepared.
Paul tries to keep up appearances, but the sight of his pureed bowl of food has him on the verge of tears.
These scenes will be airing on Monday, March 25 on ITV1.
Ahead of these emotional moments, Billy will open up about his fears for Paul in scenes airing this week in Coronation Street.
Summer tries to help Billy come to terms with the reality of Paul’s speech deteriorating, though Paul remains insistent Summer shouldn’t delay her American trip for him.
