Coronation Street ‘reveals who brings down Joel’ as next episode teases huge discovery
Coronation Street spoilers reveal what Joel Deering does next after his twisted actions on Friday night.
Ahead of his downfall, the character was shown targeting Lauren Bolton in the latest episode. Showing up at the hospital as she went to visit her premature baby son, Joel taunted her and called her vile names to get her to react.
It seems he got exactly what he wanted as she lashed out at him, cutting his lip. As Joel realised he was cut and bleeding from his lip, he smirked before showing Lauren the blood and telling her: “Thanks.”
Having just taunted her about her past and claiming her son would be better off dead, it was clear to Lauren that Joel was trying to make her look bad and portray her as an unfit mother. Is he trying to get Lauren in trouble with law, and could his plan be to have her baby son taken from her?
It seems so as later in the episode he was heard speaking to someone on the phone who specialised in family law. He claimed he had a case for him that he intended to win – referring to Lauren.

Next week, on Monday, he steps up his plan as he harasses Lauren at the hospital once more. Clearly keen to destroy her, he wastes no time in giving her a sinister threat.
Lauren is horrified after their last run-in, with his ex Dee-Dee Bailey there too. After uncovering the truth about her fiancé recently, Dee-Dee is helping Lauren and is intent on bringing Joel down.
Now, spoilers for next week could reveal she will do exactly this ahead of his downfall, which was teased in a trailer this week. Dee-Dee will continue to do what she can to find the evidence she needs to make Joel face justice.
That could happen next week, as spoilers for Monday’s episode reveal she tells DS Swain about Joel’s latest threat to Lauren. It’s then that Dee-Dee is informed of something that could change everything.
