Coronation Street spoilers – All over for Daisy Midgeley and Ryan Connor as she loses everything
The game is up for Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) in Coronation Street, and she’s set to pay the price in a spectacular way.
Over Christmas, we know that Daisy stole money from Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) in order to buy the Rovers Return Pub back – the same money that technically belongs to the factory.
At the start of the year, Daisy and Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) managed to do a fairly good job at keeping their secret hidden. However, after being questioned by Carla (Alison King) over where the cash for the pub came from, the duo spun a story about Daisy’s mum Christina (Amy Robbins) giving them the money.
This week, Daisy and Jenny’s web of lies will unravel further thanks to Bethany (Lucy Fallon), who realises Daisy has been doing an awful lot of retail therapy for someone without a lot of money in her pocket.
And after doing some digging around, Bethany will come across Stephen’s notebook in the pub back room.
Towards the end of the week, as the situation starts to escalate, Carla finds Jenny in Victoria Garden looking upset.
When she quizzes her about Bethany’s suspicions over Stephen’s money, Jenny completely falls apart and admits they took it, but had every intention of paying it back.
In the aftermath, Daisy arrives for work and is convinced Carla can’t fire her because her name is on the deeds.
Daisy gets quite the surprise, however, as Jenny tells her to sling her hook.
At the Street Cars flat, Daisy reveals to Ryan that she’s lost absolutely everything and doesn’t want to lose him too.
Ryan – Carla’s nephew of course – is appalled by Daisy’s behaviour again and tells her to leave.
Later in the week, Jenny tells Rita (Barbara Knox) about the stolen cash and tries to pin it all on Daisy, but Rita reckons she’s kidding herself and equally to blame.
It’s food for thought, but will Jenny and Daisy’s relationship ever be the same after this?
If Daisy has lost everything, what will her life in Weatherfield look like now?
