Coronation Street spoilers as Carla’s attacked and familar face returns
Things are heating up in Coronation Street as Carla and Lisa's relationship hangs in the balance with an unexpected attack from a mystery person and a familiar face returns
It’s about to be another turbulent week in Coronation Street as the drama is set to intensify for certain characters.
According to Coronation Street spoilers, next week DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) makes it clear to Carla Connor (Alison King) that she’s not ready for a relationship. But upon returning to the factory, Carla is horrified to find the place has been ransacked by an unknown person.
As she reaches for her phone to call the police, she is struck on the head and falls to the ground. Following the news of Carla’s unexpected attack, Lisa stays by Carla’s bedside at the hospital, hoping for a speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, Matty Radcliffe (Séamus McGoff) is brought in for questioning, but Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) who is back on the scene, provides a statement that supports his alibi.
When Matty smugly comments about Becky’s death, Lisa becomes angry, convinced he must be involved in the tragic incident.
Later on, Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) is delighted to have Alya back and proud that she is now shadowing a criminal solicitor. Logan Radcliffe (Harry Lowbridge) and Matty notice Lisa watching them from her car. At the station, Alya shows Lisa and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) a picture sent by her client who claims to be a victim of police harassment.
Trying to cover her tracks, Lisa pretends she bumped into them, but Kit suspects she’s not telling the whole truth. As things progress in the week, Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) confesses to Alya that he’s missed her and suggests they have dinner sometime.
Back at the hospital, Carla’s health has improved, and it’s finally time to head home during Friday’s show. Roy Cropper (David Neilson) and Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) arrive at the hospital to take Carla home.
But Carla fails to hide her disappointment, admitting she was hoping Lisa might have come with them. Sensing that Carla is longing for a deeper connection with the police detective, Roy encourages Lisa to mend her relationship with Carla, noting that it’s evident they still have feelings for each other.
