Coronation Street spoilers: Child loss horror, Paul’s funeral chaos and Rowan caught out
Coronation Street has confirmed the heartbreaking death of Paul Foreman (played by Peter Ash) in an upcoming episode set to air next week on ITV.
Last year, viewers watched as Paul was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND), a revelation that left him shattered. He initially kept his diagnosis a secret before finally sharing the shocking news with Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and his family. In recent episodes, Paul’s health has taken a turn for the worse, leading to his tragic demise next week.
The heart-wrenching week in Weatherfield kicks off with a hungover Billy frantically searching for his lost phone, which holds precious photos and memories of Paul.
In an attempt to find his phone, Billy retraces his steps. However, in a cruel twist of fate, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) and Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) are horrified to find Paul unresponsive on the sofa, struggling for breath.
Summer quickly dials for an ambulance, but with Billy having left at the worst possible time and no way to reach him, Bernie and Summer do everything they can to keep Paul alive. With time running out, will Billy make it back in time to bid his final farewell to Paul?, reports the Express.
Later in the week, spoilers tragically reveal Paul’s fate as Billy wakes up on the sofa and gazes at Paul’s empty wheelchair, confronted with the harsh reality that life must continue without Paul. Meanwhile, the atmosphere is tense among Paul’s family as they mourn his passing. Will they be able to unite and organise Paul’s funeral?
Elsewhere on the Cobbles, Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) makes a comeback and declares her intention to move back to Romania with her son Dorin, whom she co-parents with Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).
In scenes set to air soon, Tyrone informs his wife Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) that the human traffickers have been apprehended, implying that his former partner Alina has emerged from hiding and will be collecting their son Dorin the following day.
Later in the week, Tyrone is heartbroken as he observes Hope and Ruby expressing excitement about their younger brother, aware that they may not see Dorin again.
However, there’s an additional concern when Tyrone opens the backdoor to call Ruby and Dorin inside, only to be shocked to discover the backyard deserted. But where have the children gone?
In other news next week, the devious Rowan Cunliffe (played by Emhrys Cooper) is due to be unmasked.Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) confides in Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) that he plans to report Rowan to the police for blackmail after The Institute leader threatened the couple about their affair, vowing to reveal it to the manipulated Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson).
After discussing his intentions with Toyah, Nick visits the police station and hands DS Lisa Swain (Victoria Myers) a notebook containing all the relevant details.
In the meantime, Leanne spills the beans to Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), who was swindled out of £40,000 inheritance by Rowan. She reveals that she has sent herself a bunch of files from Rowan’s computer. Will Leanne manage to retrieve Amy’s money from Rowan? Later in the week, Nick drops by the flat with some news about Rowan.
