Coronation Street spoilers: Daisy Midgeley publicly humiliated as Mary Taylor exposes her sordid scandal
In a recent episode of Coronation Street, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) told Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) that all she wants is to live a quieter life after months in the spotlight following the ordeal with stalker Justin and Ryan Connor’s (Ryan Prescott) acid attack.
Bethany felt bad for Daisy, but failed to tell her ChitChat Magazine was in the process of getting an article edited all about her past and catfishing Ryan.
Bethany tried to get the article pulled but it was too late. Relaying the information to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), Bethany also revealed that her sensitive piece had been practically re-written to fit the tone of the gossip magazine.
In upcoming episodes, Daniel asks Daisy if she’ll look after Bertie for a few hours.
She agrees and later, Daisy tells Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) that there’s still a spark between her and Daniel and hopes they can get back together.
In the pub, Rita Tanner’s (Barbara Knox) birthday party gets underway.
It’s going well, but Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) then receives a message and accidentally airdrops it to everyone in the pub.
As Daisy gets the notification, her face falls as she reads ‘I had a Torrid Affair with my Acid Attack Hero’.
In the aftermath, having spoken to her editor, a fuming Bethany tells Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) that because of Daisy making a complaint, she’s been sacked.
As a row escalates between Daisy and Bethany over their actions, Daisy reveals that Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) blackmailed her and Ryan and only asked Daniel to tutor her just to increase the pressure.
With Daniel and Bethany reeling after the argument, Daisy broods back at home.

‘Daisy fully assumes that Ryan is living his best life in Glasgow and is happy with Crystal, so I think this will be a real shock to her system.
‘Daisy feels really isolated, especially from Daniel with Bethany coming back, so losing Ryan to Crystal also left her even more isolated.
‘I definitely think Ryan will be welcomed back into Daisy’s life with open arms…’
