Coronation Street spoilers: Frightened Toyah targeted by the sinister cult but she fights back

Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) faces the angry wrath of cult leader Rowan (Emrhys Cooper) in Coronation Street soon as her determination to destroy the group continues.

Toyah has found herself focused on The Institute as result of her sister Leanne (Jane Danson).

Leanne was manipulated into joining the cult by Rowan, but believes she’s actually part of a self-help group that focuses on positive mindsets and removing yourself from negative people.

Because Rowan is aware of what Toyah is doing, he has told Leanne to distance herself from her sibling.

In upcoming episodes, Leanne finally returns from the retreat and explains that her workshop overran so she just stayed another night.

When Simon (Alex Bain) reveals that he’s leaving to join Peter (Chris Gascoyne) on his yacht, Leanne is furious that nobody bothered to consult her about it. Nick (Ben Price) tells Leanne that he definitely left a message and reckons Rowan failed to pass it on.

As Simon departs Weatherfield, Bethany (Lucy Fallon) approaches Toyah and reveals a colleague of hers once tried to write an expose about the cult but was met by a wall of silence.

When Rowan calls by the flat, he shows Leanne some negative posts about the Institute created by Toyah and she is furious.

Meanwhile, in the Bistro, Toyah receives a letter and discovers Rowan is suing her for defamation and taking out an injunction.

Will she drop her campaign against the Institute?

Or will Toyah keep fighting?
