Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) is suspicious in upcoming Coronation Street episodes as she starts to pick up on Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) acting strangely.
Recently in the ITV soap, Bernie was faced with a man called Denny, who is Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) and Gemma’s biological father.
After learning of Paul’s MND, Denny told Bernie that he’s in Weatherfield to spend time with his son, but she didn’t believe him.
Denny then turned the tables and alluded to the fact he knows a secret about Bernie, one she wouldn’t want Gemma and Paul to find out.
In upcoming episodes of the ITV soap, Paul and Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) return home after a meeting with the council about MND cuts. They tell Bernie they need to find other ways to fundraise, which gives her an idea.
Towards the end of the week, having kept up the karaokethon all night, Paul, Billy and Gemma are dead on their feet and tell Bernie she’s done a great job.
The weight of her guilty secret hanging over her, Bernie approaches Gemma and says she’s sorry for being such a rubbish mother.
It leaves Gemma perplexed, but will she find out what’s going on with her mum?
We know that the secret Bernie is hiding it a pretty big one, as she’ll soon come face to face with her second son.
Bernie is left worried that her son may have something to do with the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), who has been presumed murdered for several weeks.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said: ‘Jacob [Roberts] will be playing Bernie’s secret son – his dad, Denny, was abusive to him and Bernie.
‘So when her son appears, she’s worried he is a chip off the old block and has something to do with Lauren’s disappearance.’
