Coronation Street spoilers – Lawyer Dee-Dee Bailey fears the end for Roy Cropper as evidence piles up
All eyes are on Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) in Coronation Street, the solicitor currently working to prove that Roy Cropper (David Neilson) wasn’t involved in the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
Shortly after the police launched an investigation into Lauren going missing, focus turned to Roy, one of the last few people to see the troubled character.
When DS Swain (Vicky Myers) and Craig (Colson Smith) questioned Roy, he revealed a lot of information.
He said that he would often look out for Lauren, popped by her flat to clean it as a favour to Evelyn (Maureen Lipman), and was even washing some of Lauren’s clothes in his flat.
Of course we believed everything Roy said, but that hasn’t been the case for other people. Unexpectedly, after getting arrested, Roy has found himself front and centre of a horrific ordeal.
Many people – most of who don’t actually know Roy – believe the cafe owner had something to do with Lauren going missing and have taken it upon themselves to make his life as stressful as possible.
Coming up, while in the office, Dee-Dee tells Adam (Sam Robertson) and Alya (Sair Khan) that she’s worried all the evidence so far is stacked against Roy.
Later on, Carla (Alison King) finds Dee-Dee and tells her about Roy’s sleepwalking and the abusive calls.
Feeling the pressure, Dee-Dee assures Carla that she’s doing everything she can to prove Roy is innocent.
But with the evidence stacked against Roy, and the abuse continuing, will Dee-Dee prove to be the hero?
Or is the beloved character heading to prison for a crime he didn’t commit?
