Coronation Street spoilers: Mason Radcliffe finally faces his comeuppance – but he’s set to get worse
The bullying that Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) was going through at the hands of evil Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) in Coronation Street came shockingly to light in recent episodes, when Maria (Samia Longchambon) and Gary (Mikey North) discovered that Liam had been driven to the point of contemplating suicide.
In upcoming episodes it looks as though there might finally be justice for poor Liam, as Mason’s vile behaviour has been exposed and Mrs Crawshaw (Carla Mendonça) is gathering evidence to have him expelled from the school.
But there are further twists to this tale as it seems that Mason’s reign of terror is still not over.
Liam finally admits to Gary and Maria that Mason threatened him with a knife, and they realise that this has gone far beyond bullying and into serious criminal behaviour. They take a reluctant Liam to the police station to report the crime.
It’s not long before Craig (Colson Smith) and another officer call at number 11 and tell Eileen (Sue Cleaver), Sean (Antony Cotton) and Dylan (Liam McCheyne) that they think Dylan is hiding a zombie knife that was used in an assault.
A search of the house doesn’t turn up a knife, and Dylan denies all knowledge.
Mason has made sure that Dylan has hidden the knife and he orders him to get it and meet up with him in the ginnel.
As Dylan nervously waits at the appointed place, he’s shocked when Craig approaches and finds the knife in his bag. Dylan is arrested, and he realises that Mason set him up.
Sean arrives at the police station along with Dee Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) and they try to convince Dylan that he needs to stand up to Mason and tell the police everything that’s gone on.
Dylan hits rock bottom when he bumps into Liam later and tries to apologise for his part in the bullying.
Liam tells him that he seriously contemplated suicide and Dylan is shocked at how badly Liam was affected as a result of the things he and Mason did.
When Mason sees him later and thanks him for taking the rap about the knife on his behalf, how will Dylan react?
