Coronation Street spoilers reveal major return – and it’s bad news for Daniel Osbourne
Can an old friend help him find out what happened to Lauren? Or will it cause further trouble?
CORONATION Street spoilers have revealed a major return – and it’s bad news for Daniel Osbourne.
The teacher finds himself drawn further into the police investigation around Lauren Bolton’s disappearance in upcoming scenes.
Daniel had been tutoring Lauren before she went missing, and while Roy Cropper is the police’s main suspect and is being held in custody, Daniel also ends up on their radar thanks to Bobby Crawford.
In upcoming Coronation Street scenes, Bethany does her best to persuade Daniel to put thoughts of Lauren to the back of his mind and come for a walk.
Outside the café, Daniel has a go at Max for reporting him to the police and wasting their time but as Daniel and Bethany head off, Max tells Abi that he has no idea what he’s talking about.
When Abi reveals who reported Daniel to the police, Max is shocked and calls at the factory to rage at Bobby for failing to tell him about Daniel’s involvement in Lauren’s disappearance.
Later, Bethany reads an article online suggesting that Lauren was working as an escort which gives Daniel an idea to call Nicky.
Bethany finds Max in the café and orders him to lay off Daniel as he’s a lovely, kind person who is being wrongfully accused.
As Daniel heads off to meet Nicky, Max resolves to follow him.
In the precinct, Daniel meets up with Nicky and her friend Deana.
Max watches with excitement and after taking some pictures on his phone, explains to Bobby that he recognises Nicky as a sex worker and Daniel is clearly hiding something.
Nicky is played by Kimberly Hart-Simpson and was first seen in Weatherfield in 2020.
She struck up a surprising friendship with Daniel after he enlisted her services following the death of wife Sinead Tinker.
She left the soap two years ago but Kimberly dropped hints she was back filming on Corrie on her Instagram.
She started following Corrie stars Vicky Myers, Callum Lill and Channique Sterling-Brown in recent weeks.
The actors, who play Ds Swain, Joel Deering and Dee-Dee Bailey respectively, have never appeared on the soap with Kimberly before.
However, they’re set to all be involved with Daniel over the next few weeks.
