Coronation Street spoilers: Sick Mason Radcliffe jailed as he finally gets his comeuppance
Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan)’s reign of terror in Coronation Street may be over soon, as the thug finally faces punishment for his crimes.
Since his first appearance in Weatherfield last year, Mason’s manipulative, bullying ways have made life a misery for Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall), who’s been the target of a lot of the bullying.
Mason made Liam’s life an absolute misery, to the point where the boy was scared to go to school and even thought about taking his own life as he couldn’t see a way out of the torment.
Another person who’s suffered because of Mason is Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne), who hasn’t been the target of the bullying as much as he’s been a sidekick, with Mason often using him to do his dirty work.
While Dylan may have been weak, he was also being manipulated by Mason and was terrified that if he didn’t do his bidding he would end up being in the same position as Liam.
Recently, since Liam has opened up to Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) about what’s been happening to him, a lot of attention has been focused on Liam and whether her would stand by Mason or decide to do the right thing by admitting what Mason had been up to.
We’ve seen Mason setting Liam up by getting him to bring the knife he previously used to threaten Liam with. Dylan was arrested when the knife was found in his possession. Following this he told the police the truth, although he’s still facing charges for carrying the knife.
He intends to plead guilty as he’s overwhelmed by guilt about his part in what happened to Liam.
Dylan still had one card up his sleeve, which was that he knew Mason had been the one driving when Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) was hit by a car in a hit and run incident. He told Mason that he’d also told the police about this.
In upcoming episodes Gary and Maria get a visit from the police, who tell them that Mason has been charged with the offence of threatening with a bladed article in a public space.
They say it’s likely he’ll receive a custodial sentence.
Is their family’s ordeal finally over as Mason faces the punishment he deserves?
