Coronation Street spoilers: Steve makes a bold offer to cheating Tracy and she won’t be impressed
Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) will see light at the end of the tunnel for his marriage to Tracy (Kate Ford) in upcoming Coronation Street scenes following news that Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn) is to move away.
Last week, Steve was delighted when Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) got a tip off that former footballer Tommy O had accepted an assistant coaching position in Spain.
The Weathy County top scorer had been engaging in a steamy affair with Tracy for weeks, having been employed through his new painting and decorating business to work on the couple’s bedroom and florists.
The adultery was exposed when Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) caught them in the act, and after hearing that Tracy had accepted Steve’s offer of a marriage renewal he felt consumed by guilt and confessed all to his best mate.
When the Barlows found out, Ken (William Roache) was adamant that his son-in-law should stay at No. 1 and his daughter should be the one that moves out.
In upcoming scenes, daughter Amy (Elle Mulvaney) reckons that its probably best if she is the one that breaks the news to her mum about Tommy’s new job.
Over a drink with Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) in the Rovers, Steve can’t help but blurt out what he knows when Tracy walks in with Abi Webster (Sally Carman).
But does she already know?
Seizing the opportunity of a new start, and still head over heels for his estranged wife, Steve suggests that they give their marriage another go.
Meanwhile, Tommy pops into Preston’s Petals and pleads with Amy for a chance to speak with his lover before his emigration.
Will the couple be able to reunite before it’s too late?
