Coronation Street spoilers: Tracy’s fate is confirmed – and it’s heartbreaking for Steve
Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) is still nursing a broken heart in Coronation Street following Tracy Barlow’s (Kate Ford) departure.
A few months ago, Tracy embarked on an affair with Steve’s ex-footballing hero Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn).
When Steve eventually confronted Tracy about the betrayal, he was devastated when she said she didn’t have any regrets, as she was incredibly bored in their marriage anyways.
Tracy chose Tommy over Steve when the former Weathy County player revealed he had been offered a job abroad. The iconic character packed her bags and said goodbye to Weatherfield, ready to start over.
Back at home, Steve has been left to embrace single life and also get back on the dating scene. Recently, he went for a drink with a lady called Demi – and things are going well so far.
However.
In upcoming episodes, Steve reads an article about Weatherfield County’s plan to honour Tommy by commissioning a bust of him. He then meets up with Demi, and proceeds to slag off Tommy instead of focusing on her.
When Demi enquires why he hates Tommy so much, Steve is more than happy to spill the beans about Tracy’s affair.
Later in the week, Steve shows Tim some pictures from Tracy’s socials of her paragliding over the Med.
It’s clear Tracy is enjoying life away from the cobbles a lot.
Will these pictures be enough for Steve to realise he needs to make a greater effort when it comes to moving on?
