Coronation Street spoilers: Worrying exit for Lauren Bolton after Roy Cropper breaks her
Troubled character Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) sparks concern again in Coronation Street soon as she packs a bag and leaves her flat, failing to tell her friends where she’s gone.
In recent weeks, focus has been on Lauren’s older boyfriend. We’ve never met him, but we know he’s often sent Lauren flowers and gifts that she’s shown off to her friends.
In upcoming episodes, Lauren reads a final demand letter from her energy company before making a call. She spells out to the person on the other end that she doens’t need their money, and wants nothing more to do with them.
After Lauren accepts Bobby’s (Jack Carroll) offer of a date, Max (Paddy Bever) and Sabrina (Luana Santos) arrive at the flat and find her preparing to film a video for O-Vidz.
Later in the week, Bobby pops by the cafe looking for Lauren and is put out to hear that Roy (David Neilson) sacked her.
Feeling bad, Roy calls by Lauren’s flat with her wages. She thanks Roy for his kindness and tells him she’s planning on leaving Weatherfield to start afresh.
Later that day, Bobby heads to the flat but finds the door unlocked. He lets himself in but realises Lauren isn’t there, so he drops her a text and soon leaves, locking the door behind him.
Back on the cobbles, Bobby shares his concerns about Lauren with Max, telling him how he found her flat door unlocked – but no sign of her.
A worrying twist, where has Lauren Bolton gone?
Has she left Weatherfield as a result of her boyfriend?
And will she ever return?
So many questions, but all we know for sure is there’s a lot more to come from Lauren, as Corrie producer Iain MacLeod revealed.
‘We’ll see a complexity to her character that maybe we weren’t aware of, and they’ll now explore all the different elements of Cait’s range as in, she’s quite punchy, she’s quite funny, we’ll see her get to be in quite romantic set of stories, she will continue to be quite troubled.’
