Coronation Street star’s death ‘sealed’ after 18 years as fans warn ‘watch your back’
Coronation Street fans are certain a show icon’s days are numbered, thanks to creepy newcomer Rowan Cunliffe.
The shady mentor, played by Emhrys Cooper, rocked up on the scene earlier this year and has managed to entice Leanne Battersby, portrayed by Jane Danson, into his dodgy “self-improvement group” known as The Institute.
Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and his sis Toyah Habeeb (Georgia Taylor), who’s been freshly diagnosed with germ-cell ovarian cancer, have all got the jitters over Leanne’s involvement especially with Toyah reeling from her recent diagnosis.
Adding insult to injury, Leanne recently snubbed sisterly duties by not supporting Toyah through her cancer ordeal, following Rowan’s cold advice that she should “withdraw with love”.
Behind the backs of Toyah and Nick, Leanne’s spilled some major tea about her and Toyah’s private lives to Rowan, giving him ammo to use against her.
Moreover, Leanne has got teenager Amy Barlow (played by Elle Mulvaney) in on the act, with the young’un showing serious interest in The Institute.
During last month’s retreat, Amy was buzzing to tell Leanne about wanting to drop some of her inheritance cash from grandma Deirdre into The Institute, leaving both Leanne and Rowan chuffed to bits, reports the Liverpool Echo.
But in the episode aired Monday (August 13), Amy’s mate Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) sounded alarms about The Institute. He urged Amy to think twice before splashing the inheritance dough, hinting at the danger of a massive gamble.
Corrie drama hit the cobbles after Amy’s showdown with Rowan at the Rovers, which saw her laying down the law. But it looks like Aadi might be in deep trouble after getting in Rowan’s bad books.
Soap fans have been buzzing on social media, fearing for Aadi’s life. One user tweeted: “Aadi, watch your back. Rowan is dangerous! ” while another posted: “Is creepy boy gonna kill Aadi? “.
Another commenter warned: “Watch your back Aadi the cult leader is p*****! ” and someone else feared the worst, stating: “Nooooo, Rowan is gonna do something to Aadi! “.
