In next week’s episodes of the ITV soap, it’s confirmed that the villainous Joel is dead. A trio of young lads stumble upon Joel’s body bobbing in the river, a fortnight after his disappearance. A post-mortem will later confirm that Joel was dead before he hit the water.
Viewers have been captivated by the chilling storyline involving Joel, especially after it came to light that he was the perpetrator behind Lauren Bolton’s assault. Lauren eventually made her way back to Weatherfield to vindicate Roy.
Once the truth about Joel’s actions surfaced, he went into hiding – but his deeds are now public knowledge. However, come next week, he is discovered dead- but who could be his killer?
Fans have been theorising about who might have committed the murder, with DS Lisa Swain, Dee-Dee Bailey, and Lauren Bolton all being potential suspects. Yet, following a scene on Friday, it looks like Kit may be the culprit.
