Coronation Street work out explosive identity twist with Tyrone Dobbs’ dad
Fans fear they have rumbled a sickening twist on the ITV soap.
CORONATION Street fans are convinced they know the identity of Tyrone Dobbs’ biological father after his mum Cassie Plummer’s shocking revelation.
ITV viewers were left devastated after Cassie Plummer’s (Claire Sweeney) tragic backstory was revealed in Friday night’s episode on the ITV soap.
Viewers learned that one of Cassie’s ex-boyfriends had forced her into sex work years earlier.
The heart breaking revelation came out after the Weatherfield residents learned about Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) sex work.
Cassie confessed to her mother that she was forced into sex work by an ex-boyfriend when she was underage.
She was forced into selling sex when she was only 15 years old by a former boyfriend who said he loved her.
She said: “He made me sleep with his mates for money, said I’d do it if I loved him.”
Cassie added: “I suppose, deep down, I wanted to be caught. I wanted someone to step in and save me. But my dad, he just couldn’t cope.”
Cassie’s father slapped her when he found out what was going on, so she remained convinced that her secret had killed him.
Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) was left horrified when she realised that her late husband must have been one of Cassie’s clients.
Evelyn promised Cassie she would keep the secret of Tyrone’s (Alan Halsall) father.
But fans are now suspicious of Cassie’s dad and fear a sickening abuse twist would lead to him being revealed as Tyrone’s father.
Taking to social media, one said: “Is Cassie’s dad Tyrone’s dad?”
Another replied: “Literally just thought this too.”
A third added: “Tyrone’s dad his uncle or grandad?”
Others have conspired that Tyrone’s real father could be a resident on the cobbles, including Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) or Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).
Fans are convinced the identity of Tyrone’s dad will be revealed very soon as one posted: “I wonder if we’re going to meet Tyrone’s bio dad in the future now that he’s been mentioned.”
And another wrote: “Cue bringing in some new deadbeat character as Tyrone’s dad!”
