Coronation Street’s Adam Barlow mowed down by car in Harvey revenge plot

Coronation Street has released pictures showing the moment Adam Barlow is hit by a car after reneging on his deal with villain Harvey Gaskell.
Recent scenes have seen Adam make a deal with the devil – if Harvey got rid of his half-brother Damon Hay, who is in a relationship with Adam’s estranged wife Sarah, then Adam would help him get out of prison.
However, Adam has been having second thoughts – something Harvey doesn’t take well.
After discovering that Adam handed vital CCTV footage to the police which ruins his chances of an appeal, Harvey decides to hit two birds with one stone by doing something that will hurt both Adam and Damon.
He sends an accomplice to target Sarah and her daughter Bethany. However, Adam is on the scene and manages to act quickly. He pushes Bethany out of the way and takes the full force of the car himself.
Will Adam be OK?
Previously speaking about the storyline, Samuel Robertson, who plays Adam, said: “I think the more he gets to know [Harvey] the more he’s becoming aware and he’s getting a little trepidatious about being in so deep, but he’s started the ball rolling now so he’s either all in or he’s in trouble.
“Maybe he didn’t realise at the beginning, but he realises now how dangerous Harvey is for sure. Harvey’s a lot smarter than [Adam] gave him credit for, although he’s a villain and he’s from a rough background, he’s not stupid.”
