Coronation Street’s Carla Connor admits true feelings for Lisa Swain leading to decision
Viewers of Coronation Street will see two characters be forced to confront their feelings next week, with romance possibly on the way.
After a charged moment between Carla Connor and DS Lisa Swain recently, the pair have been trying to act like nothing happened. The close friends have been a shoulder to cry on for each other in recent weeks, with fans long predicting love could be on the horizon.
Now Swarla might finally be set to take off, with new spoilers teasing a big moment for the pair and the storyline. Lisa once again turns to Carla next week at a time of need, leading to Carla making a huge realisation.
Carla confides in a loved one about her true feelings for Lisa, and soon enough she must decide whether to act. It appears the pair could be about to confront things head on, but will it work out?
It all begins in the fallout to Joel Deering’s killer being unmasked, a crime both Weatherfield ladies have been suspected of committing at one point. Lisa has faced tough questioning amid a clash with colleague Kit Green, while she’s also struggling to keep onside with her daughter Betsy.
Next week we see her hitting the bottle to cope with recent events, and it seems she heads straight for Carla’s flat. Spoilers reveal she wakes up hungover on her pal/love interest’s sofa.

She’s left battling a hangover after drinking away her problems, and soon it’s clear Carla is troubled. She finds herself confiding in her nephew Ryan Connor, as she has done numerous times in recent weeks.
Ryan is one of his aunt’s biggest supporters, and he’s been pretty pro-Swarla in recent scenes. Carla admits her growing feelings for Lisa, telling Ryan how much she likes her.
But fearing what it might mean for their friendship and feeling out of her depth, she tells Ryan she doesn’t know how to handle the situation. Ryan is on hand to help Carla, advising her to act on her feelings and to go for it with Lisa.
His words leave Carla with a big decision to make, with her torn over whether to tell Lisa the truth. Soon enough Carla returns home with a decision made.
As she gets there and finds Lisa getting dressed preparing to leave, will she choose the moment to make a move? If she does, how will Lisa react and could the pair be on the same page?
