Coronation Street’s Fiz horrified by new development after a violent attack turns her life upside down
Coronation Street’s Fiz Dobbs (Jenny McAlpine) has been worried about her future with husband Tyrone (Alan Halsall) ever since his ex Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) returned with his secret son Dorin.
Now she faces even more anguish, after a violent attack on Alina during Friday’s episode of the ITV soap led to big changes for her family.
As fans know, Alina has returned to Weatherfield to give evidence at the trial of the human traffickers who brought her to the UK.
However, she has faced increasing threats of intimidation to stop her testifying, which reached a terrifying head in the latest episode when she was attacked in her hotel room by an assailant.
Fortunately, Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) heard the commotion and came to Alina’s rescue, but she was warned her ordeal was far from over.
She then called Tyrone and Fiz to a meeting at No. 9, where she dropped a bombshell on the couple.
Fearing for her life, Alina revealed her plan to flee Weatherfield until the trial was over, but was concerned about Dorin’s safety if he was to remain with her.
She then asked Tyrone and Fiz if Dorin could stay with them for a couple of weeks, much to Fiz’s horror.
With Tyrone agreeing, it was left to his grandmother Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) to remind him what he risked losing if he continues to prioritise Alina and Dorin over Fiz and the rest of their family.
Will he heed Evelyn’s advice, or will Fiz’s worst fears become realised?
