Coronation Street’s Joel Deering to behave strangely after meeting with mystery woman
Is he hiding a secret?
Joel Deering will begin to act a little strangely after meeting a mystery woman in upcoming episodes.
Scenes airing this week will see Joel meet a new client after his girlfriend Dee-Dee is wrapped up in work, but their meeting is interrupted as newcomer Emily who seems pretty angry about something.
He subsequently escorts her out of the Bistro as Toyah watches on and wonders who she could be. And next week’s scenes will see the storyline develop as Joel continues to keep his cards close to his chest.

Then, in scenes set to air on February 16, Dee-Dee tells Alya that she’s a little confused by Joel’s recent behaviour, admitting that he’s been distant ever since they shared their feelings for each other.
Joel eventually tries to make amends by bringing Dee-Dee flowers and offering to cook her a romantic dinner, explaining that his distance was exacerbated by a busy week with work.
Will Joel’s attempts at schmoozing convince Dee-Dee or will she begin to suspect there could be something more going on?
The storyline has seen several fans question Joel’s motives, but Dee-Dee actress Channique Sterling-Brown has teased that the developments might not be terminal for Joel and her character.

“I know some people have been a bit suspicious. I’ve seen the comments! But I definitely do think Dee-Dee and Joel could have a future together. They have long-term potential,” she told Inside Soap.
“Being in a relationship is a really new thing for Dee-Dee. For her to have someone who she can rely on this way, especially with everything that’s happening with her family, she starts to see Joel in a new light.
“He’s someone who’s there to support her and actually have her back. Dee-Dee is usually everyone else’s support system but to Joel, Dee-Dee is his priority and that means a lot to her.”
