Coronation Street’s killer Joel is in for a shock after teen works out he’s a creep
Solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill) turned his attention to another vulnerable young woman in Monday’s (June 24) episode of Coronation Street.
Back in May, it was confirmed Joel was responsible for attacking Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
The character then vanished into thin air. Weeks later, the police launched an investigation and assumed she had been murdered, with Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) eventually returning to prison for the crime.
In tonight’s episode of the ITV soap, while Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) nervously prepared for another meeting with Joel’s parents, the creepy man was at the precinct eyeing up Sabrina (Luana Santos).
Last week, Joel met Sabrina at the police station after her brother was arrested. This scene delivered an eerie sense of de ja vu, given the first time Joel met Lauren, they were both at the station.
As Joel sat down beside Sabrina, he started to throw a few suggestive comments her way, and she enjoyed it. Attention then turned to Joel turning their coffees into Irish ones by adding whiskey to them.
Later on, we returned to the precinct to see Sabrina talking to her friend.
Her mate – who currently isn’t named – told Sabrina that Joel is a weird man in his 30s who never does things for someone without expecting something in return.
Sabrina felt naïve and told her friend she liked that Joel was treating her as an adult. The young woman then said she would bin Joel’s business card for Sabrina, but pocketed it instead.
On the cobbles, Sabrina’s friend found Joel and tried to ask him for money to keep quiet about his chat with Sabrina.
Joel practically laughed in her face and told her to run along. The plan hasn’t worked this time round, but could Sabrina’s friend return again and play a part in Joel’s downfall?
Could he be forced to kill again if she threatens to reveal the truth?
