Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton disappears from Weatherfield but not everything is as it seems
LAUREN appears to have made her final appearance on the cobbles
CORONATION Street’s Lauren Bolton has disappeared from Weatherfield in concerning scenes.
The cafe worker – who is played by actress Cait Fitton in the ITV soap – has revealed plans to begin a new life away from the cobbles after messing up her life.
But scenes tonight suggest she disappeared in a hurry and may have been taken.
Roy visited Lauren and took her final pay to her after being forced to sack her for stealing from Bethany Platt’s purse.
She told her former boss: “I reckon I’ve reached the end of the line here.
“I’ve let everyone down who’s ever been nice to me. I’ll move on, I’ll find a new place with new faces and everything will be fine.
“I’ll make a fresh start somewhere new. It’ll do me good to be in a new place where no-one knows me and I’ve not got loads of baggage weighing me down.”
Roy said goodbye to Lauren and shook her hand for the final time as she became tearful looking at the good luck ornament she’d bought from the charity shop.
Later Bobby visited Lauren’s flat but there was no sign of her.
“Lauren!” shouted Bobby adding: “Your door was unlocked.”
He let himself into the flat to find the radio playing and a bacon sandwich, freshly made but uneaten on the side .
Bobby was confused and looked around but could find no trace of Lauren.
Later he summoned Max Turner to the factory to pick his brains about what could have happened.
“I went in, and there was a bacon sandwich left completely untouched, it was like she’d been abducted by aliens,” he said.
Max insisted Lauren would have just nipped out.
However the presence of her good luck charm in the flat hints that something dark has happened to Lauren.
Has she been kidnapped? Or is she running away from something?
