Coronation Street’s Roy Cropper distressed as he makes heartfelt request of Carla Connor: ‘Please!’

Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is in a dire situation in Coronation Street, having been charged with Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) murder, and his friends and family have been determined to do whatever it takes to free him.

Unfortunately, this meant turning to underhanded tactics and lying to the police in recent scenes, in the hopes that this new ‘evidence’ would be enough to get Roy off the hook.

When Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) told a whopping lie to the police, Carla Connor (Alison King) reluctantly backed it up, after learning from Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) that Roy wasn’t coping well in prison.

However, in a new spoiler video, it appears that Roy may have caught wind of their shenanigans when he gives Carla a call.

While trying to enjoy a quiet drink in the Rovers, Carla is shocked to hear from Roy, and is quick to reveal how worried they all are about him.

Wasting no time, Roy asks her to visit him as soon as possible, as there is something he wishes to discuss.

Carla asks what it is, but he insists that he must speak to her in person, before revealing that it is about Bobby’s statement.

She agrees to head over, as Bobby looks shifty, having overheard the conversation.

As soon as Carla hangs up the phone, Bobby expresses his concerns that Roy knows what they’ve done, before recalling how he had looked at him in court.

Is Bobby right, and should they be worried about what this could mean for both Roy’s future and their own?
