Coronation Street’s Roy Cropper makes huge mistake as he’s questioned about Lauren Bolton’s murder
Roy has already been arrested for Lauren's murder
CORONATION Street’s Roy Cropper has made another huge mistake after being questioned again about Lauren Bolton’s disappearance.
The cafe owner – who is played by actor David Neilson in the ITV soap – is facing a hefty prison sentence after implicating himself in Lauren’s presumed murder.
In tonight’s episode Roy’s troubles intensified when Max Turner unwittingly led far right thugs to his door.
They waited in the cafe until they were the only customers and locked the door, terrorising Roy.
He was petrified and only saved when Nick Tilsley rushed in with Carla Connor and saw them off.
But they vowed to return leaving Roy shaken.
Later he was questioned again by police who still viewed him as their chief suspect in Lauren’s disappearance.
He bemoaned his trying to help Evelyn by cleaning the flat, admitting it put a target on his back.
However he still insisted that he had full confidence in the investigation and hoped they would discover the truth about what happened to her.
Later at the cafe, Nina returned home with news of the vigil but told Roy that maybe he shouldn’t attend, what with everything going on.
But Roy wouldn’t be cowed.
Having been threatened and abused, Roy stood firm and told his niece that he would attend.
“I have been the subject of wild speculation, I have received abusive phone calls, I’ve been vilified, I’ve been harassed,” he said.
“The one thing I will not be is a prisoner in my own home. I will be joining you at the vigil.”
But is he making a terrible mistake?
