Coronation Street’s Sarah Barlow plans surprise move with Damon Hay
How will Adam react?
Coronation Street’s Sarah Barlow is set to announce a surprise move with new partner Damon Hay.
Last year, Sarah had an affair with bad boy Damon while married to Adam Barlow, which led to the long-term couple separating.
Sarah thought she had seen the last of Damon, even fearing him dead at one point, but he made a surprise return in early January.
Despite Damon kidnapping Adam and then later confessing his crime to Sarah, the pair soon rekindled their romance – this time, out in the open.
In scenes that will air next week, Sarah celebrates her birthday by taking a step forward in her relationship. Adam is furious when he sees Sarah helping Damon to move his things into the flat.
At a family gathering at the Bistro, Adam can only look on as Damon hands out shots to Sarah, Audrey, Gail, Bethany and Nick, raising a toast to his partner’s birthday.
After some encouragement from Damon, later in the week Sarah suggests to Adam that they should finally discuss their divorce.
Clearly hurt by this, Adam then tells Sarah that he wants the flat to be sold, as he doesn’t want Damon living in what was once their home.
Later, Sarah makes a shock announcement when she tells Adam she is happy to sell the flat, as she and Damon are looking at buying a house with a garden – leaving Adam seething.
Adam has already hatched a plan to bring down his love rival with Damon’s half-brother Harvey (Will Mellor), who is currently in prison for the murder of Natasha Blakeman.
Harvey has promised to use his contacts to get rid of Damon for good, but only if lawyer Adam does him a favour in return and helps him with his murder appeal.
Samuel Robertson, who plays Adam, has spoken about how his character quickly finds himself in too deep with Harvey, as he realises just how dangerous his new ally is.
But how will Sarah and Damon’s future plans affect Adam’s desire for revenge?
