Corrie fans have ‘worked out’ the real reason Tracy Barlow has headed back to the cobbles.
Tracy (Kate Ford) recently left fans gobsmacked with her sudden return to Weatherfield, after ditching the cobbles back in April post-affair with hunk Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn). The scandal saw her marriage with Steve (Simon Gregson) crumble, and off she went to sunny Spain for a fresh start with her new beau.
But it seems Steve hasn’t been moping around, as he’s been spotted out on the dating scene in the past few weeks. He’s also been getting cosy with Ken’s new carer, Cassie (Claire Sweeney).
Meanwhile, their daughter Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) has been caught up in a chilling cult plot that’s seen Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) fall under the spell of the creepy “self-help” group led by the enigmatic Rowan (Emrhys Cooper).
What’s more, the cult has got its eyes on Amy’s bank account. And just when things couldn’t get more twisted, Tracy rocked up out of the blue last week, causing a stir when she found Cassie in her dad’s house and immediately butted heads with her.
Fans are buzzing at Tracy’s comeback, but they’re split down the middle as some reckon she’s here to save Amy from the cult’s clutches, while others whisper that Tracy might have a dark agenda for her father Ken, reports the Express.
Fans flocked to social media with a theory that Tracy’s comeback is all about Ken’s recent £50k windfall. Fans recently found out that he had bagged thousands of pounds.
One viewer tweeted: “Has Tracy heard Ken’s come into Money too. Double cups of Tea.” Another speculated: “I’m wondering if Tracy has come back cos she found out about Ken’s recent windfall? Imagine both her and Cassie trying to swindle him!”.
A third fan wrote: “so Tracy’s staying for a while and Cassie looked like she sees her chances of getting her hands on Ken’s cash disappearing.”
