Dee-Dee Bailey delivers shocking news after terrifying nightmare in Coronation Street
Coronation Street icon Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) has had a rough time of it recently, following Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) vile behaviour and subsequent murder.
Dee-Dee and Joel were engaged to be married, but once she learnt about his grooming and abuse of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), she swiftly ended things, and made it her mission to see him face justice.
Alongside DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), Dee-Dee gathered enough evidence to see Joel arrested and charged for his crime.
Unfortunately, he never faced justice, as he failed to appear in court for his plea hearing.
Things later took a turn when Joel’s body was found, and his death was declared to be a murder.
In the weeks that followed, Dee-Dee struggled with her guilt, after attacking Joel with a crowbar on the night of his death.
In recent scenes, she confessed what she had done to DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), who promptly arrested her.
However, she was later released after new evidence came to light which proved that Joel hadn’t been killed with a crowbar after all.
She is so shaken that when it comes time to meet a client, she ends up rushing out of the meeting and breaking down.
Kit tries his best to calm her down, but will he be successful?
